Hall Effect Switches and Magnetoresistive Switches

Hall Effect switches turn an output on when they detect a magnetic field. The output turns off when the field is removed. Standard Hall Switches detect a South pole field, but North Pole and Either Pole Hall Switches are also available.

Magnetoresistive switches are extremely sensitive sensors that detect very small changes in a magnetic field to switch an output on or off.

Sensor Solutions offers Hall Effect and Magnetorestive sensors in a wide variety of sensitivities including custom programmed switch points. These sensors can be provided with NPN, PNP, TTL, and Relay outputs and built in a wide variety of packages.

To determine a Hall Effect Sensor and magnet combination for your application based on the air gap range we offer the following Application Note.

For more information on selecting sensors and Hall Effect sensor behaviors check out our Application Note.
