Magnetic Sensors for Detecting Field Strength
Analog Hall Effect Sensors detect a magnetic field and then translate that field to a voltage output that increases/decreases based on the size and the magnetic pole of the field.
- AH and AH5 sensors provide an output centered on 2.5V with no field present. The South Pole field will increase the voltage (2.5mV/Gauss for AH, 5.0mV/Gauss for AH5). A North Pole field will decrease the voltage at the same gain.
- PAM, PAH, and PALx sensors are programmable Analog Hall Sensors that can be built and programmed specific to the requirements of an application. To determine if a programmed sensor is appropriate for your application, contact our Applications Engineers.
