Detecting the Position of a Rotating Gear
Quadrature Hall Effect Gear Tooth sensors, when paired with a meter programmed for monitoring directional count can track the rotational position of a gear. This can be effective for indexing a specific position in the rotation, constant monitoring of rotation, or tracking how many degrees the gear has rotated.
Fully programmed counters are available in our Catalog.
For more information about our quadrature gear tooth sensors, why we request the gear pitch, and target gear design, see our Application Notes.
